Course Duration

The Duration of the certified study of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery course shall be 4 years 6 months Academic years followed by one year compulsory rotating internship Normally, the MBBS course shall commence on the 1st August of an academic year.

Promotion Criteria

a). Passing in I MBBS is mandatory before proceeding to II MBBS training.
b). A student who fails in the II MBBS examination, is not allowed to appear III MBBS Part I examination unless he clears all subjects of II MBBS .
c). Passing in III MBBS Part I examination is not compulsory before entering for 8th & 9th semester of training. However passing of III MBBS Part I is compulsory for being eligible for III MBBS Part II examination.

• Final year students shall pay provisional degree certificate fee along with the examination fee.

Eligibility to appear for the examination

1. 75% attendance in a subject for appearing in the examination is compulsory inclusive of attendance in non-lecture teaching i.e. seminars, group discussions, tutorials, demonstrations, practical, hospital (Teritary Secondary, Primary) posting and bed side clinics etc.
2. Student must secure at least 35% marks of the total marks fixed for internal assessment in a particular subject in order to be eligible to appear in final university examination of that subject.
3. These details will be received from the colleges duly signed by the concerned Head of the Department and countersigned by the Principal.
4. The Internal Assessment Marks and attendance once sent to this office shall be final and no change shall be entertained later on.
5. The student is not eligible to appear for the University exam if he/she does not appear for Internal assessment exams or if the Internal assessment exam marks & attendance percentage are not received in this Office in time.

Issue of Hall tickets

1.After verification of the eligibility criteria, the prepared hall tickets will be sent online to the colleges concerned.
2. The principals shall verify the eligibility criteria before issue of the same to the students.
3. Students admitted from 2018-19 academic year will receive hall tickets with USN through online process.

ATTEMPT

If a candidate fails to utilize the given opportunity for any reasons is also treated as an attempt. In other words if the candidate is Absent / Not Registered / Detained for an exam, is treated as an attempt. So, while calculating no. of attempts, the students shall include Absent / Not Registered / Detained as one of the attempts.

PASS

In each of the subjects, a candidate must obtain 50% in aggregate with a minimum of 50% in Theory including orals and minimum of 50% in Practical to be declared as pass in a subject.

Enclosures for Issue of Certificates

1. Intermediate Certificate or +2 qualifying certificate.
2. Copy of proceedings issued by Dr. NTR UHS in case of change in Name/Surname.
3. Provisional Certificate.
4. Internship Certificate (candidates shall verify the certificate before submission of the same to the university regarding any lapses with regard to the date of commencement of the internship and its date of completion as it should be 1 year).
5. Temporary/Permanent Registration Certificate.
6. Copies of Marks Memos of all Years (including failed memos).
7. BLS Certificate issued by Dr NTRUHS.
8. Required fee in the form of Demand Draft.
9. If transferred from one College to another college for Internship, NOC issued by Dr NTR UHS must be enclosed.
10. Should not enclose any other copies which are not asked for.

Duplicate Certificates

Duplicate of Official transcript, Migration (NOC) and marks memos will be issued on payment of required fee as detailed in the application form. Regarding Duplicate of original degree, a certificate in place of the lost degree certificate will be issued on submission of the required documents specified in the application form since the University shall not issue a duplicate of it.

Marks Memos and Provisional Certificates

The University will issue Marks memos after each exam and provisional pass certificate on passing the final examination. These will be sent to the colleges concerned who will in turn distribute to the students.

Name

The OD and other certificates will be issued as per the name that appears in their intermediate or its equivalent certificate. Hence, the candidates are advised to check their names in +2 qualifying certificate before applying for the original certificates. Original certificates ones issued will not be altered or changed later.

There are 2 different ways where the students can apply for change of their names.

1. After taking original certificates

“Name Equivalent certificate” will be issued to those who got their names/surname changed/corrected after issue of Original Degree certificate stating that the name appearing in certificates issued by Dr NTRUHS and corrected name are one and the same The proposed change in name of the applicant has to be notified in the A.P. / T.S. Government Gazette (Notification in the Gazettes of other states are not acceptable).

2. Before taking original certificates

This university issues a proceedings while recognizing the change or correction in name/surname and this will be recorded and the original certificates will be issued with changed/corrected name.

There are number of cases where the name in hall tickets or Marks memos will not be similar. In such cases names can be corrected at university level. This procedure is simple and no fee is required except intermediate or +2 qualifying certificate for verification and the certificates where the correction is needed. If this problem is identified and rectified in the I year of course itself, problem with name correction would not arise and the corrected name will appear in subsequent certificates.

Enclosures for points 1 and 2

BLS

All the internees must undergo BLS training at the following recognised ITC centres of Dr NTRUHS

1.Dr NTRUHS.
2.AMC Visakhapatnam.
3.GSLMC Rajahmahendravaram.
4.GMC Hyderabad.
Candidates completing internship on or after 31-7-2015 will be issued with Original certificates only if they undergo BLS training at the recognized ITC centres of Dr NTRUHS and on submission of AHA certified BLS certificate issued by Dr NTRUHS. Non submission of this certificate will lead to pendency of the application.

Scribe

1. There is no provision in the university to allow the scribe to write the examination on behalf of the students.
2. Hence no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
3. Principals should not forward any requests of the students.

World Education Services (WES)

1. For this one should submit xerox copies of the Original Degree and Official transcript along with required fee.
2. If they do not possess both or either of this, first they should obtain this and apply for WES later.
3. While filling up the said forms one should note that the name of the applicant shall be as per original degree only.

Credential /Genuinity Verification

1. University will verify the genuineness of the original certificates issued by this University like Original degree, Official transcript and Marks memos but not the other certificates or documents which have not been issued by this university.
2. For this service, one should enclose proper and visible xerox copies for which verification of genuineness is required in the prescribed application form along with the fee.
3. A certificate of genuineness of the documents issued by the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority.

Attestation of the Documents

1. Attestation of Certificates will be done with a requisite fee for certificates issued by this University only like Original degree, Official transcript and Marks memos.
2. For this one should produce their original certificates in the office for verification.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

1. University offers MBBS course with ENGLISH as the Medium of Instruction.
2. Desired candidates may apply for this certificate in the prescribed application form along with the fee.

DISPOSAL OF APPLICATION

1. Ordinary payment– takes 45 to 60 working days.
2. Double payment – takes 7 working days from the date of receipt of the application in the section provided all the concerned and signing authorities are available.

During examination work i.e. January and June - the above time limit will not be applicable

Right from receipt of the application to its final disposal, various steps are involved. The University after following due verification procedure prepares the certificates and dispatched either to the colleges or applications as the case may be. If any application is kept pending for non-submission of any kind of enclosure or fee due, the same will be informed through mail (If given) or mobile and after receipt of the same application will be disposed-off. Hence colleges, students, parents or others are requested to kindly co-operate and requested not to visit the University office unless otherwise required causing inconvenience to the staff.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE KEPT PENDING FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS

1. If less fee is paid than the prescribed.
2. If the required documents are not enclosed and not visible properly.
3. If the department wise internship dates do not tally with the 12 months internship period mentioned in the paragraph and in the table.
4. If the name entered in the application form differs from that of Intermediate/+2 qualification.
5. If the BLS training taken at centres not recognized by Dr NTRUHS.

The Candidates those who require for attestation of Certificates the Original Certificates must be shown in the University. After verification the Original Certificates will be returned immediately to the concerned. Without verification of Originals Certificates the attestation was not done.

Note

1. Application for getting Original Certificates/Duplicate Memos or any Duplicate Certificates should be forwarded by the Principal of the concerned College.
2. The Fee shall be paid by way of Demand Draft Online in scheduled Bank.

As per Medical Council of India Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000 (Amended upto May, 2018) of Medical Council of India, New Delhi the Post Graduate students shall follow the following in addition to previous guidelines already put in the University website.

1. Training in research methodology (Basic Training in Research Methodology & Biostastics):

In the above clause the words “Thesis Skills” are substituted by the words “Writing Thesis/Research articles” and the words “Training in research methodology” are substituted by the words “Training in Research Methodology, Medical Ethics and Medicolegal aspects” in terms of Notification published on 20.10.2008 in Gazette of India.

2. Attendance Certificate from the Principal of the concerned college of the above course is prerequisite for acceptance of thesis.

3. Log Book

As per MCI 13.4 (a) Every institution undertaking Post Graduate training programme shall set up an Academic cell or a curriculum committee, under the chairmanship of a senior faculty member, which shall work out the details of the training programme in each speciality in consultation with other department faculty staff and also coordinate and monitor the implementation of these training Programmes.

a) The training programmes shall be updated as and when required. The structured training programme shall be written up and strictly followed, to enable the examiners to determine the training undergone by the candidates and the Medical Council of India inspectors to assess the same at the time of inspection.

b) Post Graduate students shall maintain a record (log) book of the work carried out by them and the training programme undergone during the period of training including details of surgical operations assisted or done independently by M.S/M.Ch. Candidates.

c) The record books shall be checked and assessed by the faculty members imparting the training. The above sub-clause 13.4 (d) is substituted in terms of Gazette Notification published on 20.10.2008 and the same is as under:- Clause 13.4(d) “The Record (Log) Books shall be checked and assessed periodically by the faculty members imparting the training”

The eligibility criteria to appear for the PG exams

a) The Super Specialty students who took admissions in the colleges of Andhra Pradesh & whose admission are approved by the University during the academic year and who shall complete three years of study period (36 Months) including period of examinations are eligible for the ensuing examination. The Principal concerned must submit study period completion certificate of the students.
b)The students should put in Academic Year wise compulsory attendance of 80% i.e, must put in 292 working days in each year. The Principals are directed to verify the dates before sending the ICR forms of eligible candidates.
c ) As per Medical Council of India Regulations (Amended up to June, 2017) the following sub-clause is added after clause 13.8(c) in terms of Gazette Notification dated 09.12.2009 and the same is as under:-
“13.9 A postgraduate student of a postgraduate degree course in broad specialties/Super Specialties would be required to present one poster presentation, to read one paper at a national/state conference and to present one research paper which should be published/accepted for publication/sent for publication during the period of his postgraduate studies so as to make him eligible to appear at the postgraduate degree examinations.”

The attendance certificate in respect of each candidate duly signed by the HOD and counter-signed by the Principal indicating the Academic Year / Batch of Admission, Date of Admission (Date of Joining), Details of leaves availed, Total number leave days availed, Yearwise percentage of attendance, Date of completion of study period must be furnished in the prescribed standard proforma along with the filled-in ICR Forms. A model copy of the attendance certificate is enclosed herewith. No other format is to be used.

Issue of Hall Tickets

1. After verification of the eligibility criteria the prepared hall tickets will be sent Online to the colleges concerned.
2. The Principals shall verify the eligibility criteria before issue of the same to the Students.

ATTEMPT

If a candidate fails to utilize the given opportunity for any reasons is also treated as an attempt. In other words if the candidate is Absent/Not Registered for an exam, is treated so, while calculating number of Attempts, the students shall include Absent/Not Registered as one of the Attempts.

PASS

a) 50% marks in each paper separately

1. For conduct of exams in Super Specialty courses rules are followed as per Medical Council of India, New Delhi and the recommendations of Board of Studies/E.C Resolutions of Dr. NTR UHS, Vijayawada/Hon’ble Court Orders from time to time.
2. The University is right to change/modified the rules of regulations at any time if any changes/modified the rules the same will be communicated to the concerned colleges immediately.

Enclousers for Issue of Certificates

1.Copy of Original Degree Certificate for (point no1).
2.A copy of the Gazette in which the change was already got published or other evidence in support of change/correction in name/surname.
3. Marriage Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of married women.

Scribe

1. There is no provision in the university to allow the scribe to write the examination on behalf of the students.
2. Hence no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 3. Principals should not forward any requests of the students.

World Education Services (WES)

1. For this one should submit xerox copies of the Original Degree and Official transcript along with required fee.
2. If they do not possess both or either of this, first they should obtain this and apply for WES later.
3. While filling up the said forms one should note that the name of the applicant shall be as per original degree only.

Credential/Genuinity Verification

1. University will verify the genuineness of the original certificates issued by this University like Original degree, Official transcript and Marks memos but not the other certificates or documents which have not been issued by this university.
2. For this service, one should enclose proper and visible xerox copies for which verification of genuineness is required in the prescribed application form along with the fee.
3. A certificate of genuineness of the documents issued by the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority.

Attestation of the Documents

1. Attestation of Certificates will be done with a requisite fee for certificates issued by this University only like Original Degree, Marks Memos.
2. For this one should produce their original certificates in the office for verification after verification of original certificates will be returned immediately to the candidate those who are brought the original certificates.

Medium of Instructions

1.University offers Super Specialty Course (D.M/M.Ch) with ENGLISH as the Medium of Instruction.
2.Desired candidates may apply for this certificate in the prescribed application form along with the fee.

Disposal of Application

1. Ordinary payment - The certificates will be issued within 3 Months from the date of receipt of application from the dispatch section to the concerned seat. In the exams schedule it will be taken more time.
2. Double payment - The certificates will be issued within 7 to 10 days from the date of receipt of application from the dispatch section to the concerned seat.

During Regular/Supplementry Examinatio work the above time limit will not be applicable

Right from receipt of the application to its final disposal, various steps of involved. The University after following due verification procedure prepares the certificates and dispatched beither to the candidates or applications as the case may be, if any application is kept pending for non submission of any kind of enclosure or fee due, the same will be informed through mail (if given) or mobile and after receipt of the same application will be disposed-off. Duplicate Certificates:

Regarding Duplicate of Original degree, a certificate in place of the lost degree certificate will be issued on submission of the required documents specified in the application form since the University shall not issue a duplicate of it.

Name

The OD and other certificates will be issued as per the name appears in their PG Degree Certificate or its equivalent certificate . Hence, the candidates are advised to check their names in PG Degree Certificate before applying for the Original Certificates. Original Certificates ones issued will not be altered or changed later.
There are 2 different ways where the students can apply for change of their names.

1.After taking original certificates

“ Name Equivalent certificate” will be issued to those who got their names/surname changed / corrected after issue of Original Degree certificate stating that the name appearing in certificates issued by Dr.NTRUHS and corrected name are one and the same. The proposed change in name of the applicant has to be notified in the A.P/T.S Government Gazatte (Notification in the Gazattes of other states are not applicable).

2.Before Taking Original Certificates

This University issues a proceedings while recognizing the change or correction in name/surname and this will be recorded and the Original Certificates will be issued with changed / corrected name.

There are number of cases where the name in Hall Tickets or marks memos will not be similar. In such cases names can be corrected at University level. This procedure is simple and no fee is required except Original Degree certificate for verification and the certificates where the correction a is needed. If this problem is identified and rectified in the I year of course itself., problem with name correction would not arise and the corrected name will appear in subsequent certificates.

Duration of course

The undergraduate dental programme leading to BDS Degree is of 4 (four) Academic years with 240 teaching days in each academic year, plus one year paid rotating Internship in a dental college. Every candidate is required, after passing the final BDS Examination to undergo one year paid rotating internship in a dental college. The internship shall be compulsory and BDS Degree will be granted after completion of one year paid Internship.

Eligibility to appear for the examination

75% attendance in a subject and Internal assessment marks in a particular subject as per DCI norms in order to be eligible to appear in the university examination of that subject.
These details will be received from the colleges duly signed by the concerned Head of the Department and countersigned by the Principal.
The Internal Assessment Marks and attendance once sent to this office shall be final and no change shall be entertained later on.
The student is not eligible to appear for the University exam if he/she does not appear for Internal assessment exams or if the Internal assessment exam marks & attendance percentage are not received in this Office in time.

Issue of Hall tickets

After verification of the eligibility criteria, the prepared hall tickets will be sent online to the colleges concerned.
The principals shall verify the eligibility criteria before issue of the same to the students.
Students admitted from 2018-19 academic year will receive hall tickets with USN through online process.

Attempt

If a candidate fails to utilize the given opportunity for any reasons is also treated as an attempt. In other words if the candidate is Absent / Not Registered / Detained for an exam, is treated as an attempt. So, while calculating no. of attempts, the students shall include Absent / Not Registered / Detained as one of the attempts.

Criteria for a Pass

Fifty percent of the total marks in any subject computed as aggregate for theory, i.e., written, viva voce and internal assessment and practicals including internal assessment, separately is essential for a pass in all years of study.

For declaration of pass in a subject, a candidate shall secure 50% marks in the University examination both in Theory and Practical/ Clinical examinations separately, as stipulated below
a).A candidate shall secure 50% marks in aggregate in University theory including Viva Voce and Internal assessment obtained in University written examination combined together.
b).In the University Practical/ clinical examination, a candidate shall secure 50% of University practical marks and Internal Assessment combined together.
c).In case of pre clinical Prosthetic Dentistry and Pre clinical conservative dentistry in II BDS, where there is no written examination, minimum for pass is 50% of marks in Practical and Viva voce combined together in University examination including Internal Assessment i.e. 50/100 marks.

PROMOTION CRITERIA:

Any student who does not clear the BDS Course in all the subjects within a period of 9 years, including one year Compulsory Rotatory paid Internship from the date of admission shall be discharged from the course.

I B.D.S. Examination

Any candidate who fails in one subject in an Examination is permitted to go to the next higher class and appears for the said failed subject and complete it successfully before he is permitted to appear for the next higher examination.

II B.D.S. Examination

Any candidate who fails in one subject in an Examination is permitted to go to the next higher class and appears for the said failed subject and complete it successfully before he is permitted to appear for the next higher examination.

III B.D.S. Examination

Any candidate who fails in one subject in an Examination is permitted to go to the next higher class and appear for the subject and complete it successfully before he is permitted to appear for the next higher examination.

Final B.D.S. Examination

Any candidate who has sucessfully completed III BDS examination can only appear for final year examinations.

Duplicate Certificates

Duplicate of Official transcript, Migration (NOC) and marks memos will be issued on payment of required fee as detailed in the application form. Regarding Duplicate of original degree, a certificate in place of the lost degree certificate will be issued on submission of the required documents specified in the application form since the University shall not issue a duplicate of it.

Marks Memos and Provisional Certificates

The University will issue Marks memos after each exam and provisional pass certificate on passing the final examination. These will be sent to the colleges concerned who will in turn distribute to the students.

Name

The OD and other certificates will be issued as per the name that appears in their intermediate or its equivalent certificate. Hence, the candidates are advised to check their names in +2 qualifying certificate before applying for the original certificates. Original certificates ones issued will not be altered or changed later.

There are 2 different ways where the students can apply for change of their names.

1. After taking original certificates

Name Equivalent certificate” will be issued to those who got their names/surname changed/corrected after issue of Original Degree certificate stating that the name appearing in certificates issued by Dr NTRUHS and corrected name are one and the sameThe proposed change in name of the applicant has to be notified in the A.P. / T.S. Government Gazette (Notification in the Gazettes of other states are not acceptable).

2. Before taking original certificates

This university issues a proceedings while recognizing the change or correction in name/surname and this will be recorded and the original certificates will be issued with changed/corrected name.
There are number of cases where the name in hall tickets or Marks memos will not be similar. In such cases names can be corrected at university level. This procedure is simple and no fee is required except intermediate or +2 qualifying certificate for verification and the certificates where the correction is needed. If this problem is identified and rectified in the 1st year of course itself, problem with name correction would not arise and the corrected name will appear in subsequent certificates.

The eligibility criteria to appear for the PG exams

The following requirements should be fulfilled by every candidate to become eligible to appear for the final Examinations.

1.Attendance:

Every candidate should have fulfilled the minimum attendance prescribed by Dental Council of India and respective University (80% of the attendance during each academic year of the diploma course).

2. Progress and conduct:

Every candidate should have participated in seminars, journal review meetings, symposia, conferences, case presentations, clinics and didactic lectures during each year as designed by the concerned department.

3. Work Diary and log book:

Every candidate shall maintain a work diary and logbook for recording his/her participation in the training programmes conducted by the departments. The work dairy and log book shall be verified and certified by the Head of the Department and Head of the Institution. The certification of satisfactory progress is based on the work dairy and log book.

University Examination:

There shall be one examination at the end of 2 years. The Universities shall hold examinations twice a year with a minimum gap of four months between the two examinations. The University examination shall have the following components

a. Written
b. Clinical and Practical
c. Viva voce or oral examination.

Written Examination:

The written examination shall consist of three papers, out of which two shall be pertaining to the speciality: one in Applied Basic Sciences. Each paper shall be of three hours duration and shall include recent advances.

Clinical/Practical Examination:

It should aim at examining clinical skills and competence of candidates for undertaking independent work as a specialist. The actual format of clinical examination in various specialities could be worked out by various Universities making sure that the candidates is given ample opportunity to perform various clinical procedures. The council desires that the actual format is made known to the students prior to the examination well in advance by the respective Universities.

Viva voce Examination:

Viva voce examination shall aim at assessing depth of knowledge, logical reasoning confidence and verbal communication skills.

ISSUE OF HALL TICKETS

1. After verification of the eligibility criteria the prepared hall tickets will be sent to the colleges concerned. 2. The Principals shall verify the eligibility criteria before issue of the same to the Students.

ATTEMPT

If a candidate fails to utilize the given opportunity for any reasons is also treated as an attempt. In other words if the candidate is Absent/Not Registered for an exam, is treated so, while calculating number of Attempts, the students shall include Absent/Not Registered as one of the Attempts.

Every candidate appearing for the MDS degree examination for the first time shall submit with his application for the admission to the examination, four typewritten copies of a dissertation of a research topic undertaken by the candidate and prepared under the direction and guidance and to the satisfaction of his University teacher. The dissertation should be submitted 3 months prior to the MDS Examination. The dissertation shall be referred to the Examiners for the MDS examination and acceptance of it by the examiners shall be a precondition to the admission of the candidate to the written part of the examination.

A candidate whose dissertation has been accepted by the examiners, but who is declared to have failed at the examination will be permitted to reappear at the subsequent MDS examination without having to prepare a new dissertation, if, however, the dissertation is rejected, the authorities shall give reasons thereof and suggestion for the improvement of the same and the dissertation thus improved will have to be resubmitted to the examiners and accepted before appearing in MDS Examination.

Eligibility

The following requirements should be fulfilled be every candidate to become eligible to appear for the final examination.

Attendance

Every candidate shall secure (80% of the attendance during each academic year ).

1. Progress and conduct

Every candidate should have participated in seminars, journal review meetings, symposia, conferences, case presentations, clinics and didactic lectures during each year as designed by the concerned department.

2. Work Diary and log book

Every candidate shall maintain a work diary and logbook for recording his/her participation in the training programmes conducted by the departments. The work dairy and log book shall be verified and certified by the Head of the Department and Head of the Institution. The certification of satisfactory progress is based on the work dairy and log book.

University Examination

The University Examination shall consist of theory, practical and clinical examinations and viva-voce and pedagogy.

Thoery:
Part-I:
Shall consist of one paper

There shall be a theory examination in the Basic Sciences at the end of 1st year of course. The question papers shall be set and evaluated by the concerned Department/Specialty. The candidates shall have to secure a minimum of 50% in the Basic Sciences and shall have to pass the Part-I examination at least six months prior to the final (Part-II) examination.

Part-II:
shall consist of three papers, namely:

Practical and Clinical Examination.
Viva-voce
Pedagog

A candidate who wishes to study in a second speciality, shall have to undergo the full course of three years duration in that speciality.

Dissertation

Every candidate appearing for the post-graduate degree examination shall at least six months prior to the examinations, submit with his form for examination, four typewritten copies of a dissertation undertaken by the candidate and prepared under the direction and guidance of his/her guide. The dissertation so submitted shall be referred to the examiners for their examination and acceptance of it shall be a condition precedent to allow the candidate to appear for the written part of the Examination.

Provided that a candidate whose dissertation has been accepted by the examiner, but declared failed at the examination, shall be permitted to re-appear at the subsequent examination without a new dissertation:

Provided further that if the dissertation is rejected by the examiner, the examiner shall assign reasons therefor with suggestions for its improvement to the candidate and such candidate shall resubmit his/her dissertation to he examiner who shall accept it before appearing in the examination.

Written Examination

The written examination shall consist of three papers, out of which two shall be pertaining to the speciality: one in Applied Basic Sciences. Each paper shall be of three hours duration and shall include recent advances.

Clinical/Practical Examination

Clinical/Practical examination is designed to test the clinical skill, performance and competence of the candidate in skills such as communication, clinical examination, medical/dental procedures or prescription, exercise prescription, latest techniques, evaluation and interpretation of results so as to undertake independent work as a specilalist. The affiliating university shall ensure that the candidate has been given ample opportunity to perform various clinical procedures.

The Practical/ clinical examination in all the specialities shall be conducted for six candidates in two days:
Provide that practicals/clinical examination may be extended for one day, if it is no complete in two days.

Viva voce Examination

Viva voce examination shall aim at assessing depth of knowledge, logical reasoning confidence and verbal communication skills.

ISSUE OF HALL TICKETS

1. After verification of the eligibility criteria the prepared hall tickets will be sent online to the colleges concerned.
2. The Principals shall verify the eligibility criteria before issue of the same to the Students.

Attempt

If a candidate fails to utilize the given opportunity for any reasons is also treated as an attempt. In other words if the candidate is Absent/Not Registered for an exam, is treated so, while calculating number of Attempts, the students shall include Absent/Not Registered as one of the Attempts.

ENCLOSURES FOR ISSUE OF CERTIFICATES

1. Under Graduate (BDS) Degree Xerox Attested Copy.
2. Provisional Pass Certificate of PG/Diploma.
3. Required fee in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, Dr. NTR UHS, Vijayawada.
4. If any name change of candidate Xerox copy of name change letter in Under Graduate course/Gazette copy.

DUPLICATE CERTIFICATES

Duplicate Certificates of Migration (NOC) and Marks Memos will be issued on payment of required fee as detailed in the rates of fee of certificates. Regarding Duplicate of Original Degree, a certificate in place of the lost Degree Certificate will be issued on submission of the required documents specified in the application form since the University shall not issue a duplicate of it.

MARKS MEMOS AND PROVISIONAL CERTIFICATES

The University will issue marks memos after each exam and provisional pass certificate on passing the final examination. These will be sent to the colleges concerned who will in turn distribute to the students.

NAME

The Original Degree and other certificates will be issued as per the name that appears in their UG Degree Certificate. Hence, the candidates are advised to check the names in UG Certificates before applying for the PG Original Certificates. Original certificates once issued will not be altered or changed later.

There are two different ways where the students can apply for change of their names

1. After taking Original Certificates

“Name Equivalent Certificate” will be issued to those who got their names/surname changed/corrected after issue of Original Degree Certificate stating that the name appearing in certificates issued by Dr. NTR UHS and corrected name are one and the same the proposed change in name of the applicant has to be notified in the A.P./T.S. Government Gazette (Notification in the Gazettes of other states are not acceptable)

2. Before taking Original Certificates

This University issues a proceedings while recognizing the change or correction in name/surname and this will be recorded and Original Certificates will be issued with change/corrected name.
There are number of cases where the names in hall tickets or marks memos will not be similar. In such cases names can be corrected at University level. This procedure is simple and no fee is required. The candidates shall produced proof of UG Degree Certificate copy for verifying the correct name.

ENCLOSURES FOR POINTS 1 AND 2

1. Copy of Original Degree Certificate for (point no1).
2. A copy of the Gazette in which the change was already got published or other evidence in support of change/correction in name/surname.
3. Marriage Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of married women.

SCRIBE

1. There is no provisional in the University to allow the scribe to write the examination on behalf the students.Hence no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
2. Principals should not forward any request of the students.

World Education Services (WES)

1. For this one should submit Xerox copies of the Original Degree and Marks Memos along with required fee.
2. If they do not possess both or either of this, first they should obtain this and apply for WES later.
3. While filling up the said forms one should note that the name of the applicant shall be as per Original Degree only.

CREDENTIAL/GENUINITY VERIFICATION

1. University will verify the genuineness of the original certificates issued by this University like Original Degree & Marks Memos but not the other certificates or documents which have not been issued by this University.
2. For this service, one should enclose proper and visible Xerox copies for which verification of genuineness is required in the prescribed application form along with the fee.
3. A certificate of the genuineness of the documents issued by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority.

ATTESTATION OF THE DOCUMENTS

1. Attestation of Certificates will be done with a requisite fee for certificates issued by this University only like Original Degree, Marks Memos.
2. For this one should produce their original certificates in the office for verification after verification of original certificates will be returned immediately to the candidate those who are brought the original certificates.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

1. University offers Dental Degree course with ENGLISH as the Medium of Instruction.
2. Desired candidates may apply for this certificate in the prescribed application form along with the fee.

DISPOSAL OF APPLICATION

1. Ordinary payment - The certificates will be issued within 3 Months from the date of receipt of application from the dispatch section to the concerned seat. In the exams schedule it will be taken more time.
2. Double payment - The certificates will be issued within 7 to 10 days from the date of receipt of application from the dispatch section to the concerned seat.

DURING REGULAR/SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATION WORK THE ABOVE TIME LIMIT WILL NOT BE APPLICABLE

Right from receipt of the application to its final disposal, various steps of involved. The University after following due verification procedure prepares the certificates and dispatched either to the candidates or applications as the case may be, if any application is kept pending for non submission of any kind of enclosure or fee due, the same will be informed through mail (if given) or mobile and after receipt of the same application will be disposed-off. Hence colleges, students, parents or others are requested to kindly co-operate and requested note to visit the University office unless otherwise required causing inconvenience to the staff.

Examination Eligibility

a) No candidate shall be permitted to appear in any one of the subjects of Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery degree course unless he/ she has attended the course in the subject for the prescribed period in an affiliated institution recognized by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

b). A candidate is required to put in a minimum of 75% of attendance in both theory and practical separately in each subject before appearing for the examination.

c).As per the directives of the University, there will be no consideration for leave on medical grounds. The student will have to adjust the same in the minimum prescribed attendance.

d). A candidate lacking the prescribed attendance and progress in all the subjects of the year shall be detained and shall attend the classes with the next batch.

Registration at the Examinations

Examination notification will be issued two months in advance to the commencement of actual date of examination. All the Principals of affiliated BHMS Colleges will be informed to submit the nominal rolls demand forms, ICR forms of the students admitted into 1st year BHMS course along with required fees, attendance etc.,. all the eligible candidates can register their names at the examinations on payment of required examination fee. 1st year fresh candidates have to submit ICR applications for registration. 1st year referred candidates and 2nd year to 4th year regular and referred candidates have to submit their applications through the galley supplied by the University with required fee.

Promotion Rule

a). The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed 11 years.
b). If a candidate fails either in theory or in practical examination, she/ he has to reappear for both examinations (theory + Practical).
If a candidate fails to pass in all the subjects with in four chances in examinations, he shall be required to prosecute a further course of studying all the subjects and in all parts for one year to the satisfaction of the head of the college and appearing for examination in all the subjects.
Provided that if a student appearing for the Fourth BHMS examination has only one subject to pass at the end of prescribed chances, he shall be allowed to appear at the next examination in that particular subject and shall complete the examination with this special chance.

Internship

After successful completion of the final year examination every student admitted into the course should undergo the 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship.
University Examinations will be conducted as per the schedules notified in the academic calendar. Examinations will be conducted twice in a year i.e., in the month of October/November and in the month of April/May every year.

Examination Eligibility

a) No candidate shall be permitted to appear in any one of the subjects of Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences degree course unless he/ she has attended the course in the subject for the prescribed period in an affiliated institution recognized by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
b) A candidate is required to put in a minimum of 75% of attendance in both theory and practical separately in each subject before appearing for the examination.
c) As per the directives of the University, there will be no consideration for leave on medical grounds. The student will have to adjust the same in the minimum prescribed attendance.
d) A candidate lacking the prescribed attendance and progress in all the subjects of the year shall be detained and shall attend the classes with the next batch.

Registration at the Examinations

Examination notification will be issued two months in advance to the commencement of actual date of examination. All the Principals of affiliated BNYS Colleges will be informed to submit the nominal rolls demand forms, ICR forms of the students admitted into 1st year BNYS course along with required fees, attendance etc.,. all the eligible candidates can register their names at the examinations on payment of required examination fee. 1st year fresh candidates have to submit ICR applications for registration. 1st year referred candidates and 2nd year & 3rd year regular and referred candidates have to submit their applications through the galley supplied by the University with required fee.

Payment of Examination Fee

Promotion Rule

a) No maximum period to complete the course.
b) If a candidate fails either in theory or in practical examination, she/ he has to reappear for both examinations (theory + Practical).

Internship

After successful completion of the final year examination every student admitted into the course should undergo the 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship.

APPLICATIONS FOR OBTAINING OF CERTIFICATES – ORIGINAL/ DUPLICATES:-

All the candidates who have completed their course with in the stipulated period are eligible to apply for Original Degree Certificate, Official Transcript (for BHMS, BAMS, BNYS & BUMS only) and Migration Certificates on payment of required fee along with the applications, forwarded by the Principals of concerned Colleges with all enclosures required therein.

Credential Evaluation / Verficiation

A certificate of genuineness of the documents issued by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority on receipt of the request for the same along with copies of documents and on payment of prescribed fee.

Course Duration

Minimum Duration of the course: Three(3) years(the student shall undergo study for 3 years after admission).
Maximum Duration of the course: Six(6) years (shall not exceed beyond the period of 6 years from the date of admission to the course).
MD(Ayurveda) course shall have two examinations viz.,
a) Preliminary Examination – At the end of One academic year.(Part-1)
b) Final Examination - on completion of the three academic years.(Part-2)

Promotion Criteria

Candidates failed in 1st MD(A) Course i.e Preliminary Examination can Proceed to Part-II course but before appearing for Part-II/ final MD(A) Examinations, he/she should pass 1st Preliminary Examinations.

Mode of Payment of Examination Fee

Issue of Hall Tickets

a) After verification of the eligibility criteria, the hall tickets to the eligible candidates will be sent online to the colleges concerned.
b) The Principals shall verify the eligibility criteria before issue of the same to the students.
c) Students admiIssue of Hall Tickets.tted from 2018-19 academic year will receive hall tickets with USN through online process.

Attempt

If a candidate fails to utilize the given opportunity for any reasons is also treated as an attempt. In other words if the candidate is Absent/ Not Registered/ Detained for an Exam, is treated as an attempt. So, while calculating no.of attempts, the students shall include Absent/ Not Registered/ Detained as one of the attempts.

Examination Passing Criteria

a) To be announced as “PASS”, the student shall obtain minimum 50% (Fifty) marks in Practical and Theory subjects separately. b) For being declared successful in the Preliminary Examination (Part-I), student shall have to pass all the subjects separately. c) For being declared successful in the Final Examination (Part-II), student shall have to pass all the papers separately in the concerned Specialty.

Duplicate Certificates

Duplicate Migration and Marks Memos will be issued on payment of required fee as detailed in the application form. Regarding Duplicate of Original degree, a certificate in place of the lost degree certificate will be issued on submission of the required documents specified in the application form since the University shall not issue a duplicate of it.

Marks Memos and Provisional Certificates

The University will issue Marks Memos after each exam and Provisional pass certificate on passing the final Examination. These will be sent to the colleges concerned who will in turn distribute to the students.

Name Check

The OD and other certificates will be issued as per the name appears in their Under graduate Degree Certificate or its equivalent certificate . Hence, the candidates are advised to check their names in Under graduate Degree Certificate before applying for the Original Certificates. Ori

There are 2 different ways where the students can apply for change of their names.
1. After taking original certificates

“ Name Equivalent certificate” will be issued to those who got their names/surname changed / corrected after issue of Original Degree certificate stating that the name appearing in certificates issued by Dr.NTRUHS and corrected name are one and the same. The proposed change in name of the applicant has to be notified in the A.P/T.S Government Gazatte (Notification in the Gazattes of other states are not applicable).

2. Before Taking Original Certificates

This University issues Proceedings while noting the change or correction in name/surname and this will be recorded and the Original Certificates will be issued with changed / corrected name.
There are number of cases where the name in Hall Tickets or Marks memos will not be similar. In such cases names can be corrected at University level. This procedure is simple and no fee is required except Original Degree certificate for verification and the certificates where the correction is needed. If this problem is identified and rectified during I year course itself., problem with name correction will not arise and the corrected name will appear in subsequent certificates.

1. Copy of Original Degree Certificate 2. A copy of the Gazatte in which the change was already got published or other evidence in support of change/correction in name/surname. 3. Marriage certificate issued by the competent authority in case of Married Women.

World Education Services (WES)

For this one should submit Xerox copies of the Original Degree and PG Marks Memos and along with required fee.

Credential/Genuinity Verification

1. University will verify the genuineness of the original certificates issued by this University like Original Degree, Marks Memos but not the other certificates or documents which have not been issued by this University.
2. For this service, one should enclose proper and visible Xerox copies of the document for which verification of genuiness is required in the prescribed application form along with the fee.
3. A certificate of genuineness of the documents issued by the Dr.YSR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority.

Right from receipt of the application to its final disposal, various steps are involved. The University after following due verification procedure prepares the certificates and dispatched either to the colleges or applicants as the case may be. If any application is kept pending for non-submission of any kind of enclosure or fee due, the same will be informed through mail(if given) or mobile and after receipt of the same application will be disposed-off. Hence colleges, students , parents or others are requested to kindly Co-operate and requested not to visit the University office unless otherwise required, causing inconvenience to the staff.

Applications will be kept pending for the following reasons.

1. If less fee than the prescribed, is paid.

The failed students can apply for Re-totalling of marks with in One week after announcement of results, by paying the prescribed fee through Principal of the concerned college. The students need not personally attend for Re-totalling. The university conducts “Re-Totalling of Marks” and after completion of the work, will send “ the results of Re-Totalling” to the colleges concerned and also place in the University website.

Examination Eligibility

(a). No candidate shall be permitted to appear in any one of the subjects of Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree course unless he/ she has attended the course in the subject for the prescribed period in an affiliated institution recognized by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and has produced the necessary certificate of study, attendance, progress and satisfactory conduct from the Principal/ Head of the institute where he/ she has studied.
(b). A candidate is required to put in a minimum of 80% of attendance in both theory and practical separately in each subject before appearing for the examination.
(c). As per the directives of the University, there will be no consideration for leave on medical grounds. The student will have to adjust the same in the minimum prescribed attendance.
(d). A candidate lacking the prescribed attendance and progress in all the subjects of the year shall be detained and shall attend the classes with the next batch.
(e). A candidate shall secure at least 50% of marks in the Internal Assessment to become eligible to apply for the University examination. For referred candidates fresh internal assessment is mandatory for every examination. Previous internal marks will not be considered.

Re-admission/Break of study

As per the regulations of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, which come into force from 01.06.2011 onwards, the following are the rules of readmission after break of study.

1. Break of study means any absence for more than three months during the course of study.
2. For all practical purposes two types of break of study is allowed.
(a) Less than 3 months of break (as per definition).
(b) More than 3 months of break but less than the twice the number of year of study of a particular course.
3. If the candidate is on Break of study for two spells in an academic year of a particular course the candidate is deemed to have been discharged from the course of study. ONE CANNOT APPLY FOR CONDONATION OF THE BREAK.
4. ONLY TWO SPELLS OF BREAK OF STUDY for the entire duration of the course is permitted. During second spell of Break of Study even if the break of study is less than 90 days, permission must be obtained from the University and that spell of Break shall also be counted as second spell of break.
5. If the break of study is more than three months the candidate has to apply to the University through the Principal/ Dean of the College. The University can give permission to the candidate to complete the course within twice the years of the study of the particular course.

Attendance required for admissions to examiations

(a). A candidate shall be permitted to appear in any of the subjects of the B.Sc., Nursing Degree Examination, if she has attended the course in the subject for the prescribed period and produce the certificate of study, attendance and satisfactory conduct from the Principal.
(b). A candidate shall put in a minimum of 80% of attendance in both theory and practical separately in each subject before admission to the examination attendance shall be calculated from the total number of hours prescribed by INC and not on the number of classes conducted in the institution.
(c). The Principal of the college should ensure that the candidate put in 100% attendance in practical. The marks sheet, degree certificate, course completion certificate are to be withheld until 100% attendance requirement in practical is met with (INC guidelines dated.01.02.2012).
(d). Referred/ failed candidates have to put in minimum percentage of attendance for eligibility to appear for re-examination.

Attempt

When a candidate is eligible to appear for the examination, but not applied/ registered/ absent for the examination, it is considered as an attempt.

Registration at the examinations

Examination notification will be issued two months in advance to the commencement of actual date of examination. All the Principals of affiliated B.SC., (NURSING) Colleges will be informed to submit the nominal rolls demand forms, ICR forms of the students admitted into 1st year B.SC., (NURSING) course along with required fees, attendance etc.,. All the eligible candidates can register their names at the examinations on payment of required examination fee. 1st year fresh candidates have to submit ICR applications for registration. 1st year referred candidates and 2nd year to 4th year regular and referred candidates have to submit their applications through the galley supplied by the University with required fee.

Payment of examiation fee

The examination fee for B.SC., (NURSING) course will be as stated below:-

1. For whole examination (1st attempt) Rs.1800/- including Marks Memo.

2. a. For referred candidate-

Single Subject Rs.800/-
Two Subjects Rs.1300/-
Three Subjects Rs.1800/-
Four Subjects Rs.2100/-

b. In addition to the above Rs.400/- towards Provisional Certificate per each candidate appearing for final year.

Internal Assessments

(a). A student must obtain a min of 50% of the maximum marks fixed for internal assessment in that particular subject.
(b). Fresh internal assessment exam is mandatory to the referred and detained students. Previous internal assessment marks will not be considered for subsequent appearance (s).

Internship (Integrated Practice)

(a). Internship means 8 hours of integrated clinical duties in which 2 weeks of eveing and night shift duties are included.
(b). Internship should be carried out as 8 hours per day @48 hours per week.
(c). Students will be supervised by nursing teachers during internship.
(d). Fourth year final examination will be held only after completing internship.

Examination Schedule

B.SC., (NURSING) University Examinations will be conducted as per the schedules notified in the academic calendar. Examinations will be conducted twice in a year i.e., in the month of November (regular exam) and in the month of June (supplementary exam) every year.
Examinations will be conducted for 1st to 4th year NS with the Hall ticket issued through ICR mode Only at the designated Common Examination Centers.

Results

On receipt of the answer scripts from the Common Examination Centers, they will be coded at the University and will be digitally evaluated. After evaluation the marks obtained will be processed at the Electronic Data Processing Cell (EDPC) of the University and the result will be declared with in a period of 45 days after completion of the examinations.

Qualifying Marks

A candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination if he/ she obtains the following qualifying marks.

(a). For English the minimum pass marks shall be 40%.
(b). Minimum Pass Marks in other subjects shall be 50% in each of the Theory and Practical separately.
(c). Theory and Practical exams for Introduction to Computers to be conducted as college examination and marks to be sent to the University for inclusion in the marks sheet.

NoteMaximum of 5 grace marks will be awarded in one or more than one subject provided the candidate passes all subjects.

Classification of Results

(a). The candidates with 50% and above of total marks and having passed the examination in any subject in more than one attempt will be awarded PASS DIVISION.
(b). The candidates with 50% and above but less than 65% of total marks and having passed the examination in First attempt will be awarded SECOND CLASS.
(c). Candidates with 65% of marks and above but less than 75% of total marks and having passed the examination in First attempt will be awarded FIRST CLASS
(d). Candidates with 75% and above of the total marks and having passed the examination in First attempt will be awarded DISTINCTION.

Retotaling and Personal Identification of Answer Book

There is no provision for re evaluation of answer books in the University. However, as per the rules of the University the students can request for re-totaling on payment of Rs.500/-. On receipt of student’s application along with fee, a date for re-totaling will be announce by the University. The student has to attend personally on the said date to identify the answer book, which will be shown to the student. The faculty members who are posted for the job will take up the correction of the errors in the re-totaling and correction of un-valued questions. Modification of the results if any will be declared as per the rules of the University.

Eligibility for Promotion

1. The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed 8 years (4years for PBNC).
2. If a candidate fails either in theory or in practical examination, she/ he has to reappear for both examinations (theory + Practical).
3. There is no break system at the level of 1st, 2nd & 3rd year. However, the students should pass all the subjects 1st year, 2nd year & 3rd Year before appearing for the 4th year/ final examinations.
4. The Number of attempts for examination has been waived off.

Attempt

If a candidate fails to utilize the given opportunity for any reasons is also treated as an attempt. In other words if the candidate is Absent/ Not Registered/ Detained for an Exam, is treated as an attempt. So, while calculating no.of attempts, the students shall include Absent/ Not Registered/ Detained as one of attempts.

Pass

In each of the subjects, a candidate must obtain 50% in aggregate with a minimum pass marks shall be 50% in each of the Theory and Practical papers Separately.

Duplicate Certificates

Duplicate Migration and Marks Memos will be issued on payment of required fee as detailed in the application form. Regarding Duplicate of Original degree, a certificate in place of the lost degree certificate will be issued on submission of the required documents specified in the application form since the University shall not issue a duplicate of it.

Marks Memos and Provisional Certificates

The University will issue Marks Memos after each exam and Provisional pass certificate on passing the final Examination. These will be sent to the colleges concerned who will in turn distribute to the students.

Name

The OD and other certificates will be issued as per the name appears in their Under graduate Degree Certificate or its equivalent certificate . Hence, the candidates are advised to check their names in Under graduate Degree Certificate before applying for the Original Certificates. Original Certificates ones issued will not be altered or changed later.

There are 2 different ways where the students can apply for change of their names.
1.After taking original certificates

“ Name Equivalent certificate” will be issued to those who got their names/surname changed / corrected after issue of Original Degree certificate stating that the name appearing in certificates issued by Dr.NTRUHS and corrected name are one and the same. The proposed change in name of the applicant has to be notified in the A.P/T.S Government Gazatte (Notification in the Gazattes of other states are not applicable).

2.Before Taking Original Certificates

This University issues a proceedings while recognizing the change or correction in name/surname and this will be recorded and the Original Certificates will be issued with changed / corrected name.
There are number of cases where the name in Hall Tickets or marks memos will not be similar. In such cases names can be corrected at University level. . this procedure is simple and no fee is required except Original Degree certificate for verification and the certificates where the correction a is needed. If this problem is identified and rectified in the I year of course itself., problem with name correction would not arise and the corrected name will appear in subsequent certificates.

Enclosures for Point 1 and 2

1.Copy of Original Degree Certificate.
2. A copy of the Gazatte in which the change was already got published or other evidence in support of change/correction in name/surname.
3.Marriage certificate issued by the competent authority in case of Married Women.

World Education Services (WES) Form

For this one should submit Xerox copies of the Original Degree and PG Marks Memos and along with required fee.

Credential/Genuinity Verification

1.University will verify the genuineness of the original certificates issued by this University like Original Degree, Marks Memos but not the other certificates or documents which have not been issued by this University.
2.for this service, one should enclose proper and visible Xerox copies for which verification of genuiness is required in the prescribed application form along with the fee.
3.A certificate of genuineness of the documents issued by the Dr.YSR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority.

Attestation of the Documents

1.attestation of certificates will be done with a requisite fee for certificates issued by this University only like Original Degree and Marks Memos.

Medium of Instruction

1.University offers M.Sc.(N) course with ENGLSIH as the Medium of Instruction.

Disposal for Application

2.Early Payment – take 7 working days from the date of the application in the section provided all the concerned and signing authorities are available.

Examination Eligibility

a) No candidate shall be permitted to appear in any one of the subjects of Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree course unless he/ she has attended the course in the subject for the prescribed period in an affiliated institution recognized by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and has produced the necessary certificate of study, attendance, progress and satisfactory conduct form the Principal / Head of the institute where he/ she has studied.
b) A candidate is required to put in a minimum of 80% of attendance in both theory and practical separately in each subject before appearing for the examination. Candidates with 75% are also eligible to appear on payment of prescribed condonation fee.
c) As per the directives of the University, there will be no consideration for leave on medical grounds. The student will have to adjust the same in the minimum prescribed attendance.
d) A candidate lacking the prescribed attendance and progress in all the subjects of the year shall be detained and shall attend the classes with the next batch.
e) A candidate shall secure atleast 50% of marks in the Internal Assessment to become eligible to apply for the University examination. For referred candidates fresh internal assessment is mandatory for every examination. Previous internal marks will not be considered.

Re-Admission/Break of Study

As per the regulations of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, which come into force from 01.06.2011 onwards, the following are the rules of readmission after break of study.
1. Break of study means any absence for more than three months during the course of study.
2. For all practical purposes two types of break of study is allowed.
(a) Less than 90 days – Principal of the college can permit the candidate to rejoin the course.
(b) More than 90 days of break only two spells in a total duration of double the number of years of study (8 years) are allowed.
3. If the candidate is on a break of study or two spells in an academic year of a particular course, the candidate is deemed to have been discharged from the course.

NO CONDONATION IS ALLOWED.

4. If the candidate avails 2 spells of break as in clause (i)(b), even if the second spell is less that 90 days, permission must be obtained from the University.
5. In case of a single break of study of more than 90 days, the candidates have to apply to the University and permission must be obtained from the University.

Condonation of Lack of Attendance

The Power of condonation of shortage of attendance up to a maximum of 5% in the prescribed attendance required for admission to an examination rests with the discretionary powers of the Vice-Chancellor. A Candidate lacking in attendance should submit an application in the prescribed form and remit the stipulated fee, 15 days prior to the commencement of the theory examination.

Name

The OD and other certificates will be issued as per the name appears in their Under graduate Degree Certificate or its equivalent certificate . Hence, the candidates are advised to check their names in Under graduate Degree Certificate before applying for the Original Certificates. Original Certificates ones issued will not be altered or changed later.

There are 2 different ways where the students can apply for change of their names.
1.After taking original certificates

“ Name Equivalent certificate” will be issued to those who got their names/surname changed / corrected after issue of Original Degree certificate stating that the name appearing in certificates issued by Dr.NTRUHS and corrected name are one and the same. The proposed change in name of the applicant has to be notified in the A.P/T.S Government Gazatte (Notification in the Gazattes of other states are not applicable).

2.Before Taking Original Certificates

This University issues a proceedings while recognizing the change or correction in name/surname and this will be recorded and the Original Certificates will be issued with changed / corrected name.
There are number of cases where the name in Hall Tickets or marks memos will not be similar. In such cases names can be corrected at University level. . this procedure is simple and no fee is required except Original Degree certificate for verification and the certificates where the correction a is needed. If this problem is identified and rectified in the I year of course itself., problem with name correction would not arise and the corrected name will appear in subsequent certificates.

Enclosures for Point 1 and 2

1.Copy of Original Degree Certificate.
2. A copy of the Gazatte in which the change was already got published or other evidence in support of change/correction in name/surname.
3.Marriage certificate issued by the competent authority in case of Married Women.

World Education Services (WES) Form

For this one should submit Xerox copies of the Original Degree and PG Marks Memos and along with required fee.

Credential/Genuinity Verification

1.University will verify the genuineness of the original certificates issued by this University like Original Degree, Marks Memos but not the other certificates or documents which have not been issued by this University.
2.for this service, one should enclose proper and visible Xerox copies for which verification of genuiness is required in the prescribed application form along with the fee.
3.A certificate of genuineness of the documents issued by the Dr.YSR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority.

Attestation of the Documents

1.attestation of certificates will be done with a requisite fee for certificates issued by this University only like Original Degree and Marks Memos.
2.For this one should produce their original certificates in the office for verification.

Medium of Instruction

1.University offers M.Sc.(N) course with ENGLSIH as the Medium of Instruction.
2.Desired candidates may apply for this certificate in the prescribed application form along with the fee.

Disposal for Application

1.Ordinary Payment-Take 45 days to 60 days.
2.Early Payment – take 7 working days from the date of the application in the section provided all the concerned and signing authorities are available.

During examination work i.e May and November- the above time limit will not be applicable.

Right from receipt of the application to its final disposal, various steps are involved. The University after following due verification procedure prepares the certificates and dispatched either to the colleges or applications as the case may be. If any application is kept pending for non-submission of any kind of enclosure or fee due, the same will be informed through mail(if given) or mobile and after receipt of same application will be disposed-off. Hence colleges, students , parents or others are requested to kindly Co-operate and requested not to visit the University office unless otherwise required causing inconvenience to the staff.

Applications will be kept pending for the following reasons.

1.If less fee is paid than the prescribed.
2.If the required documents are not enclosed and not visible properly.

Fee Details for issue of various certificates

Examination Eligibility

The Examinations will be conducted at the end of each academic year both in theory and practical. The Supplementary examinations will be conducted within 6 months after the main examination conducted by the University for all the three phases of the course. Teachers with MD/ MS qualification with one year experience and M.Sc., (M) with three years experience may be appointed as Examiners.

Re-Admissions/ Break of Study

As per the regulations of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, which come into force from 01.06.2011 onwards, the following are the rules of readmission after break of study

1.Break of study means any absence more than three months during the course of study.
2.For all practical purposes two types of break of study is allowed.
(a) Less than 90 days – Principal of the college can permit the candidate to rejoin the course.
(b) More than 90 days of break only two spells in a total duration of double the number of years of study (8 years) are allowed.
3.If the candidate is on a break of study or two spells in an academic year of a particular course, the candidate is deemed to have been discharged from the course.

No Condonation is Allowed

4.If the candidate avails 2 spells of break as in clause (i)(b), even if the second spell is less that 90 days, permission must be obtained from the University.
5.In case of a single break of study of more than 90 days, the candidates have to apply to the University and permission must be obtained from the University.

Attendance

A candidate shall be considered to have satisfied the requirement of attendance if he/ she attends not less than 75% of the classes held in each of the subjects separately for theory and practical postings in each academic year. However, if the attendance of students is 60% and above but below 75%, it may be condoned by the University on the recommendation of the Principal and on the payment of condo nation fee as prescribed by the University.
A candidate who does not satisfy the requirements of attendance in any subject shall not be permitted to take the University examinations in that particular subject and he/ she shall be required to appear the same in a subsequent exam.

Registration at the examinations

Examination notification will be issued two months in advance to the commencement of actual date of examination. All the Principals of affiliated B.SC., (MLT) Colleges will be informed to submit the nominal rolls demand forms, ICR forms of the students admitted into 1st year B.SC., (MLT) course along with required fees, attendance etc.,. All the eligible candidates can register their names at the examinations on payment of required examination fee. 1st year fresh candidates have to submit ICR applications for registration. 1st year referred candidates and 2nd year & 3rd year regular and referred candidates have to submit their applications through the galley supplied by the University with required fee.

Payment of Examination fee
The examination fee for B.SC., (MLT) course will be as stated below:-

1. For whole examination (1st attempt) Rs.1800/- including Marks Memo.
2. For referred candidates.

Internal Assessment

a) There shall be a minimum of two periodical tests preferably one in each term in theory and practical of every subject in an academic year, and the average of two awards will be taken as the final award in that subject. If a candidate is absent for any one of the tests due to genuine and satisfactory reasons such a candidates may be given a re-test.
b) The candidate should score a minimum 35% in theory and Practical Internal assessment examination, separately to be eligible to appear in the University examination in that subject.
c) Fresh Internal assessment is mandatory for referred and detained students. The previous internal assessment marks will not be considered.

Apperance for the Examination

a) A candidate shall register for all the subjects of a year when he/ she appears for the examinations of that year for the first time.
b) A candidate shall not be admitted to the practical examinations for the first time unless he/ she produces the class record book duly certified by the Head of the Department.
c) The marks awarded to the record during the first appearance will be valid for the subsequent examinations in case of failed candidates.

Results

On receipt of the answer scripts from the Common Examination Centers, they will be coded at the University and will be digitally evaluated. After evaluation the marks obtained will be processed at the Electronic Data Processing Cell (EDPC) of the University and the result will be declared with in a period of 45 days after completion of the examinations.

Minimum for a Pass

a) A candidate shall be declared to have passed in a subject if he/ she obtains not less than 40% in the written and 50% in practical examinations in the University examination and an Aggregate of 50% marks including the Internal Assessment.
b) If a candidate fails in either theory or practical he/ she has to appear for both theory and practical in the subject in any subsequent examination and he/ she must obtain the minimum marks as specified above for a pass in that subject.

Note

1. There is no minimum mark prescribed for orals.
2. Maximum of 5 grace marks will be awarded in one or more than one subject provided the candidate passes all subjects.

Classification of Result

Class shall be declared for the first, second and third year examinations on the basis of aggregate marks

Percentage of Marks
First Class With DISTINCTION Not less than 70% of the aggregate marks.
First Class 69% to 60% of the aggregate marks
Second Class 59% TO 50% of the aggregate marks.
Retotalling & Personal Indentification of Answer Books

There is no provision for re evaluation of answer books in the University. However, as per the rules of the University the students can request for re-totaling on payment of Rs.500/-. On receipt of student’s application along with fee, a date for re-totaling will be announce by the University. The student has to attend personally on the said date to identify the answer book, which will be shown to the student. The faculty members who are posted for the job will take up the correction of the errors in the re-totaling and correction of un-valued questions. Modification of the results if any will be declared as per the rules of the University.

Promotion Criteria

A candidate with two backlog subjects in First year may be promoted to second year B.Sc., (MLT)

A candidate with one backlog subject in Second year B.Sc., (MLT) may be promoted to the 3rd year B.Sc., (MLT) course but the candidate has to clear all the backlog subjects of 1st and 2nd year to be eligible to appear for 3rd year B.Sc., (MLT).

Credential Evaluation / Verification

A certificate of genuineness of the documents issued by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences will be sent to the applicant authority on receipt of the request for the same along with copies of documents and on payment of prescribed fee.

Correspondence & Mode of Payment

Correspondence:

All correspondence relating to Examination matters shall be made to the CONTROLLER OF THE EXAMINATIONS, Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.

Mode of Payment:

a). All types of fee are accepted in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Dr YSR UHS payable at Vijayawada or Online Payment.

b). Fee once paid to the University will not be refunded.

c). Applicants are to be extra cautious to verify the nature of service and correct amount before payment is made.
