Eligibility Criteria

Admission into Post Graduate & under Graduate Courses

The Dr NTR University of Health Sciences has been conducting admissions into various Under Graduate, Post Graduate, Super specialty, Doctoral courses and Post Doctoral Fellowship Courses in the branches of Modern Medicine, Dental, Homeopathy, Indian Systems of Medicine and Paramedical Courses offered by the University.

The Admissions into the above courses including management seats shall be as per the merit in the NEET-UG, NEET-PG, NEET-SS and AIPGET (AYUSH-PG) conducted by the designated authorities and AP EAMCET for admission into UG Nursing and Paramedical Courses. The admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) and MPT courses will be as per the merit obtained in the qualifying examination. There is no Entrance Test for admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) and MPT courses.

The Qualification and Eligibility criteria for admission into the courses offered by the University are given in detail in the table below. However, aspiring candidates have to read the Course Regulations/Prospectus pertaining to the respective academic year of admission.

Intermediate(10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology and English.

OC - 50% marks in Science subjects

BC/SC/ST - 40% marks in Science subjects

OC PH - 45% marks in Science subjects

Intermediate (10+2 pattern)with Botany, Zoology,Physics and Chemistryas optional, which shall include a practical test in each subject.

OC - 50% marks in Science subjects

BC/SC/ST - 40% marks in Science subjects

or its equivalent examination with Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry as optional which shall include a practical test in each subject or Intermediate (10+2) with Bridge course with Botany,Zoology,Physics and Chemistry In addition to the above, a candidate seeking admission in to BUMS course should have passed 10th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as as subject or passed the test of Urdu by the Board or Registered Society authorized by the Government to conductsuch examination. or The Pre-Tib examination of one year duration, and NEET 2018 Rank

Minimum Educational Qualifications :

Intermediate/APOSS (10+2 pattern) (Science Stream) or its equivalent examination with (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English is compulsory subject or 10+2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE/NIOS or other equivalent Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Inter Vocational with Bridge course in Biological and Physical Sciences.

Qualifying Marks in Intermediate/10+2 Science Subjects :

For OC candidates - Should have secured 45% aggregate of marks in Science Subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry & Biology

For SC, ST and BC Candidates - Should have secured 40% aggregate of marks in Science Subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry & Biology

Ph.D Full Time
  1. Master’s degree (MD, MS, DNB / MDS/ MD ( Ayush Courses.)/ M.Sc(N)/ MPT or MSc -Medical) in any subject allied to Medical Sciences of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
  2. Master’s degree from any other recognized University which is recognized as equivalent by this University, taking in to considerations the recognition of the Central Councils like MCI, DCI, CCIM, INC/ CCH etc.
  3. Candidates with recognized Master’s degree from science faculty related to Medical Sciences (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology etc.,)
PhD Part-time
  1. Teachers with requisite qualifications mentioned above (a) working in college or centres affiliated to Dr. NTR UHS.
  2. Teachers/ Scientists/ Researchers working in state and National Research Institute/ Universities with 5 years of experience.
  3. Ph.D. part time can be carried out at any centre which is recognized by Dr. NTR UHS for the purpose of Ph.D. programme , provided the candidate should spend at least 45 days during every 6 months in that centre and such attendance must be submitted through proper channel.
  4. No Objection Certificate issued by the concerned Directorate should be submitted by the selected candidate before the admission.
Maximum Age Limit

There is no maximum Age Limit for registering into PhD programme.

Eligibility
  1. Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or PG Diploma in the concerned specialty. The PG Diploma candidates must have worked one year in a P.G Centre/ institution and have submitted a project/ dissertation. Candidates who have studied in countries outside India and passed medical PG examination are also eligible to join, provided they produce the following certificates:
    • Equivalent certificate issued by the MCI, New Delhi.
    • Temporary registration certificate issued by the MCI, New Delhi.
  2. Age not exceeding 45 years of the year of admission.
  3. Fitness: The candidate should produce a medical certificate of sound health issued by a civil surgeon.
Course fee
  1. The annual course fee of Rs.36,000/- per candidate has to be paid by the candidate and Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Registrar, Dr.NTR UHS, Vijayawada.
Process of admission into Super specialty courses (D.M./M.Ch.)

The Candidates have to Qualify in the NEET SS conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi www.nbe.edu.in for admission into Super Specialty Courses in the affiliated colleges of Dr.NTR UHS, Vijayawada.

The Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India, New Delhi shall conduct the common counseling as per the schedule issued by Medical Counseling Committee for all Super specialty courses (D.M./M.Ch.) in Medical Educational Institutions of all the States as per the orders of the Government of India.

The selected candidates will be intimated to report to the allotted college within the date specified in the seat allotment order by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), DGHS, New Delhi.
